9/12/2010 'You Have a Message' - on the Old Rhine Ginsheimer
"Hello, I am also from Wiesbaden and am still paddling novice." with these words, John unlatched in the planning for the 12th September,. We agreed to meet at this page Wiesbaden and Mainz "in the Canadian Forum on Ginsheimer port, from where we drove up to the stone embankment. It was quite calm, a slight tail wind pushed us quickly up the Altrheinarm.
On Steindamm I could not help but pass on something again to play. Two paddlers were reduced by adjusting the passage size boards, so the flow was incredibly fast in the lake and beautiful hard einschoss intersections. The standing wave after the passage literally sucked the Ally forward so that had to experience surfing with care. Sharing with the two paddlers ran completely from straightforward. I just feel that one of them then his world view of Canadians and then had to revise materially from moths of this size. After 5 minutes we felt made our way back again. The gimmick had provided thick arms, so I wanted to paddle back quite easily. Only was dusk and the light tail wind on the outward journey yielded a stiff headwind. So we fought our way slowly back to Ginsheim.
After charging John boat we talked for a while. It turned out that John does not 500m as the crow flies from where I live in the neighboring village. He has a daughter at the age of my younger daughter. An interesting constellation. We talked, we arrange to meet again soon to paddle. Maybe this time with our two, matched, daughters. Was there not even as a film on the theme "Neighbors meet over the Internet?
Unfortunately, it then for 2010 any more. Somehow, I was now clearly too much on the move - to the Canoefahren.
